The Manager, HR Operations will be responsible for establishing and leading HR operations within Groupon's Asia-Pacific (APAC) region which includes support of over 1,200 employees across Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and India. As a member of the Global HR Operations team, this person will team up with regional Shared Service Leaders to establish best practices and policies across the Asia-Pacific, European and North American regions. Establishing Shared Service Centers globally is a cornerstone for the success of the transformation of the HR organization. Overall responsibilities:

Possess a broad knowledge of the HR Shared Services Center processes, tools and service level agreements along with the company’s HR policies and service model

Manage the overall productivity and performance of the HR SSCs to regional SLAs/KPIs.

Responsible for hiring, training, mentoring and motivating HR SSC team by setting performance expectations and providing regular performance feedback

Partner with Local HR leadership to drive effective/efficient HR services with an optimal balance among cost, efficiency and service delivery

Lead collaboration activities related to the centralization of HR operations with key stakeholders (Finance, Audit, Legal, Information Technology, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Marketing Communications, etc.)

Partner with Finance, Legal and the business to implement global HR policies

Roll out employee and manager self-service, providing training and organizational readiness

Ensure HR HCM data accuracy in region

Lead the planning and execution of special projects, as requested

Act as a champion for key projects such as a standardized reporting, tools & methodologies, coordination of termination rounds, etc.

Act as a key member of Global HR Operations team. Specifically:

Lead efforts to continually standardize HR processes across the global organization

Provide input into the broader HR Operations strategy

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum 10 years of work experience or equivalent knowledge in HR, customer service, IT, or general business operations within several countries in which we operate (i.e. India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Italy, France, Morocco, Germany, etc.)

Proven management experience; leading Shared Service Center team(s) a plus

Deep understanding of Shared Services operations and payroll operations

Strong project management and change management skills and experience

You are highly skilled in analyzing problems and providing direction

You have strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

You have strong influencing skills and great judgment

Ability to be an effective leader and interact effectively with leadership across various functions/businesses/countries

Highly proficient user of HRIS systems – Workday a strong plus

Strong English communication skills
