The Groupon Travel Key Account Executive (maternity cover -12 month fixed term contract) is to be responsible of keeping the company’s key client relationships at a high standard and serves as the direct link between the company and the existing client, managing day-to-day affairs and ensuring merchant satisfaction.
The role of a key account executive includes being familiar with the totality of the company’s service and knowing all the products as well as having the ability maintaining a long term relationship and maximising sales opportunities with its portfolio.

What the role entails:
Cultivate relationships and retaining existing partners
Work to find the best solution using high financial acumen, strong sales process and creative solutions
Develop knowledge of deal structure and strategy in order to reach partner desired outcomes and maximize profit so to achieve company target in terms of sales results and merchant satisfaction
Manage daily sales and operations activities based on partner needs often via telephone and email
Agreeing to deadlines for specific tasks with the client
Assisting the Sales Team with day to day tasks with mainly Writing Deal Contracts, Sourcing and Attaching images, Benchmarking Deals to check deal competitiveness
Processing new sales leads
Communicating with Editorial to resolve any Deal Copy issues requested by Partners or Senior Sales Team
Managing correspondence between the sales team and their Partners
Providing data and reports to help the sales team
Resolving operational blocks by providing Info Request to Editorial and Quality Assurance Teams.
Periodically answering phone calls and attending Partner Meetings
What we need from you?
Minimum of 1 year recent Sales Support experience in the Travel Industry
Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills – including negotiations with director and above level contacts
An additional European Language would be advantageous but not essential (Spanish, French and Dutch are of particular interest)
Exceptional Client Service and communication skills
Keen attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
Resilience to deal with complex queries in a fast-paced environment
Has a flexible approach, thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a fast paced environment
Highly organised and plans and prioritises work effectively
Knowledge or a keen interest of Travel / Tour operating / OTA / Travel Agency would be beneficial
Undergraduate degree is desirable but not essential
