Groupon UK is looking for a Sales Consultant to focus on new business and generating leads for our larger national and local accounts. Reporting into the Inside Sales Director, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing and developing new business opportunities with SMEs merchants. Through a consultative sales approach you will present business solutions to meet the merchants, customers and Groupon’s expectations and will become a vital part of the merchants marketing and business plans.

What the role entails:

Proactively source, pitch and close deals (via phone) that feature on Groupon, continually expanding the range of offers for our subscribers

Educate merchants on how Groupon works and presentresent Groupon as the unique marketing tool to acquire new customers

Achieve and exceed on weekly and monthly KPIs including a minimum of 60 minutes effective call time per day

Actively carry out research on regions on an ongoing basis to keep up to date on market trends, new merchants and social media hot topics

Strong knowledge of all aspects of the Groupon business model and the daily deal market.

Record all ongoing client contact and sales activity using

Effectively handing newly won merchants over to our Account Management team to ensure a long term and successful relationships with Groupon.

What we need from you?

Excellent communication skills – you must have a consultative sales approach and be a strong persuader and influencer

Demonstrable success in high volume an targeted B2B New Business sales

Existing experience in canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of consistent and current success

Strong relationship builder, has a positive attitude and is a team player

A highly driven and ambitious hunter, self-motivated, target orientated and passionate about winning new business

Creativity and the ability to think outside the box – always striving to bring in fresh, exciting and better deals to our customers

Resilient, tenacious and adaptable

Willingness to learn and work hard
