Groupon is looking for a data-driven Technical Product Manager to help innovate Groupon’s international business (Europe, Middle East, and Asia). You should have a deep understanding of the EMEA business. You will be responsible for driving international product innovation on the mobile app, mobile website, desktop website, and merchant-facing assets.
You will ensure that high-impact experiments get launched in EMEA quickly and successfully, that bugs get fixed in a timely manner, and that Groupon product is properly internationalized consistent with each country’s local language, culture, and business footprint.
This position is based in our Chicago engineering office, but involves frequent international travel.
Drive product strategy and vision
Create a rolling 4-quarter product roadmap
Safeguard and enhance the customer experience
Launch key revenue-driving initiatives
Triage and fix bugs in a timely manner
Create functional specifications and manage the build of the product
Work with engineering to deliver breakthrough product features that make Groupon a daily utility
Drive buildout of reporting and analytics dashboards to support data-driven product decision-making
Cultivate a deep understanding of the EMEA business and drive the appropriate product localizations
1+ year of relevant technical or product experience
Deep analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions driving a customer-centered product strategy
Ability to think quickly and creatively about problems and develop efficient solutions
Obsession with understanding and meeting the needs of the customer
Passion for local ecommerce and mobile product development
Computer science, math, statistics, or similar degree
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and command line
Strong communication and influencing skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and expertise in balancing multiple, rapidly-moving projects
