We are seeking for an experienced sales consultant to join our National team. Focusing on new business, this person will have discretion when it comes to negotiating complex deals, involving critical contract terms with top clients.

Core responsibilities:

Develop and close new business opportunities through established networks, relationships, independent research, and the lead management pipeline to expand the range of offers to our subscribers
Facilitate the growth of revenue by contacting and closing national merchants who have not done business with Groupon
Secure partnerships using consultative selling strategies to craft and negotiate offer details that align with financial and operational objectives
Develop familiarity with each business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, and revenue and profit drivers
Utilize knowledge of deal structure and strategy in order to reach the client’s desired outcomes and maximize profit
Required skills & attributes:

3+ years of proven success in a sales environment
Experience in approaching national businesses in a credible and professional manner, with evidence of consistent and current success in helping them to achieve their goals.
Excellent communication skills, must have a consultative sales approach and be a strong persuader and influencer at a senior manager level.
Strong relationship builder, has a positive attitude and is a team player
Highly driven, is self-motivated, target orientated, resilient and tenacious,
Is customer focused, enjoys working autonomously, hits the ground running and demonstrates a willingness to learn
Strong analytical skills, makes well-judged decisions, good numeracy, pays strong attention to detail, is a strong problem solver, demonstrates good commercial awareness and thinks outside the box to generate new ideas
Has a flexible approach, thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a strategic sales environment
