You'll be part of the technical sale organization working with Financial and enterprises customers in NY The role involved with leading Mellanox Ethernet products technical sales and customer engagements. You will work within a small, quality technical team whose ambitions are to make our products the preeminent Ethernet network solution used in large data centers and brand names customers!
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer with a strong Networking and Data Center background to be part of a dedicated team. Our ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise networking and data center architectures (hyper-scale and cloud providers). Experience with Ethernet data center Ethernet switch hardware and software and protocols is mandatory. Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for driving Mellanox sales to data center & enterprise customers in working with our Sales Teams. You will be the owner of customer relationship and drive activity from first engagement, product briefing, POC and up to going to production and post-sale activities. You will also act as a strong voice for our customers into the Marketing and Engineering organizations to improve the product and ensure successful Mellanox deployments. In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating with multiple parties — internal departments as well as the customer — to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution to technical issues and completion of projects.
In addition, you will also:
Work closely with key Systems Integrators and Partners to drive customer success at target accounts
Be the Ethernet Switch Expert for the BD technical team in NY
Deliver clear, concise and differentiated sales enablement materials including: technical collateral; product demonstrations; white papers and case studies
Lead proof of concept (POC) activities including defining success criteria, system setup, product configuration and customization, and onsite support
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or the equivalent in training and experience)
5+ years of Enterprise network Systems/Solutions Engineering/network IT experience
Experience in pre-sales technical activities or in implementing and maintaining mission critical networking solutions in complex environments
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers
Think strategically about business, products and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
In-depth technical knowledge in Ethernet Technology, network architecture, L2/3 protocols
Firsthand experience working with switch software from lead providers including the ability to configure Ethernet Switches protocols
Design solution guidelines and recommend improvements/best practices to customers for their networks
Ability to create impactful, value oriented, and differentiated product demonstrations including hands-on work with customers during product evaluations and pre and post-sales activities
Proven experience driving Proof-of-Concept engagements, Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features
Debug HW and/or SW problems at customer installations and work with customers in fine-tuning and benchmarking applications, Assist end users in taking Mellanox platforms to production
Provide feedback to product management and engineering
