We are growing the processor design team at Mellanox (MLNX), a leader in end-to-end Ethernet and InfiniBand interconnect solutions for servers, storage, and hyper-converged infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, high-energy Processor Design Engineer to develop innovative products with nimble group of top-notch processor architects and designers. Our team is combining ARM cores with our unique mesh interconnectivity and specialized hardware accelerators to deliver unprecedented processor function and performance to target markets.

As one of our Processor Design Engineers, you will play a significant role while working in a close-knit “startup like” environment within a successful public company. Here are some of the ways you can contribute to our processor development:
Translating market requirements into a working microarchitecture
Owning the specification, performance model, and RTL for combinations of cores, networks, memories, and specialized hardware accelerator blocks
Contributing to critical elements such as the SOC methodology and architecture, processor core design, and high-speed I/O interfaces
You will also use your skills in technical collaboration by:
Working cooperatively with the Architecture, Software, and Marketing teams to help specify features of the next-generation processors
Teaming up with Verification and Physical Design teams to ensure quality design and timing closure
Working with other team members contributing across a variety of tasks, including silicon bring-up and debug and application/system software tuning

Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Minimum 6 years digital logic design experience in deploying successful SoC with skill in:
Cache/memory architecture and coherence
PCI Express / Ethernet interfaces
Hardware accelerators
Multicore boot and debug operation
Timing closure and power optimization
Excellent teamwork skills
