Job Requirements –

A qualified candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of an agile technical security organization. Candidate must possess outstanding presentation skills, professionally communicate in written responses to emails, white papers, and when submitting reports. A successful Sales Engineer needs to be able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches and be able to close deals at a technical level.

A successful Sales Engineer here at CloudPassage will need to manage all aspects of pre-sales support including:

Deliver security solutions based on customers pain points while explaining how Halo will solve their problem
Will manage customer evaluations and implementations of Halo
Must be able to document solutions for the SE team and customers (Knowledge sharing)
Willing to engage and train partners both locally and nationally
Will work in a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment, often with minimal supervision
Must be effective in delivering remote presentations (using WebEx, GoToMeeting, or similar ‘webinar’ solution)
Must maintain and expand working knowledge of CloudPassage Halo
Must track customers evaluations in SalesForce

The Details:

A successful Sales Engineer needs to be well versed in both conceptual knowledge and hands-on expertise in industry Security Applications, Networking, Enterprise Security, Multiple OS platforms, and should have expertise in the following areas:

Technical and non-technical skills required:

Hands on Knowledge of Security related products and technologies (e.g. IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Firewalls, etc.)
Software installation, integration, and configuration experience
Extensive experience securing Windows Servers
An understanding and comfort with Windows Domain Security and Audit Policies
Extensive experience in securing Linux-based systems
Experience working with and configuring AWS EC2 environments, Azure, OpenStack and/or VMWare platforms
Some software development and/or scripting experience (Ruby, Python – a plus)
Experience with Docker (major plus)
Experience with Orchestration tools such as Chef, Puppet or Heat (major plus)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor Degree and at least 8 years of relevant information security experience
Industry Security Certifications a plus!
Security vendor certifications a plus!
