Groupon is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Seattle, WA.
Directly report to Groupon’s Global Marketing Analytics team.
Responsible for supporting the Chief Marketing Officer for Groupon’s LatAm region.
Responsible for understanding, measuring, validating and reporting on the fundamental success factors that drive Groupon’s Marketing platform for success in the LatAm region.
Work closely with product and business teams to develop new requirements, analyze performance data for marketing and user engagement, create and maintain automated dashboards that track key performance metrics, lead implementation of regular and adhoc analysis projects and communicate actionable insights to the senior team using effective visualization and storytelling tools.
Work with business teams to analyze metrics around marketing traffic, financials and user behavior data across dimensions like marketing channel, device, geo, user segments and time.
Draw actionable insights to improve Groupon’s marketing platform and optimize spend and effort across marketing channels and campaigns.
Operate closely with technology and product teams to understand product features and validate data tracking instrumentation, maintain data quality and integrity, create baselines and reconcile results to plan figures and build real-time analysis and tracking reports for important metrics that help measure performance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, data scientists and product managers to propose new marketing analysis strategies, product features and user experiences that help Groupon engage better with consumers and supply side merchants.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or related quantitative field and five years of working experience in any combination of information technology, programming, analysis, business process improvement, marketing, finance or operations functions.
Work experience must have included:
(1) Two years of experience with data extraction using SQL or equivalent
(2) One year of experience building reports/dashboards using Tableau, Microstrategy, or PowerBI
(3) Experience with R or SAS
(4) Experience working on data analysis projects
(5) Experience with marketing, web analytics, and attribution concepts in an e-commerce space
