o Design and develop processes and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights.
o Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
o Use machine learning to build models that can address a few areas such as user segmentation, churn, affinity, and conversion rates.
o Design and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
o Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, business managers and customer service operations lead.
o Strong analytical background, at least a BS, and preferably an MS or PhD, degree in computer science, statistics or related quantitative field, with an emphasis on predictive analytics, data mining, statistics, machine learning, algorithms or similar field.
o Understanding of applied math topics such as probability and statistics, linear algebra, basic optimization techniques, etc.
o 3-5 years work experience as a data scientist or a related role
o Advanced user of EXCEL
o Hands on experience with predictive analytics tools and machine learning techniques/algorithms
o Hands on experience with tools such as R, Python and familiarity with Teradata/Hadoop environment,
o Experience defining and analyzing multivariate tests
o Expert in SQL with experience in data warehouse technologies like Teradata
o Experience big data technologies like Hadoop and Hive
o Experience with Tableau, Splunk a plus
o A successful history of translating business objectives and problems into analytic problems, and analytic solutions into actionable business solutions
