The Commercial Finance Manager will report directly to the EMEA Goods Finance Director and will play a multidimensional role requiring a solid business and commercial minded individual and with strong cross-departmental skills. The role will be the key connector between the business, the merchandising and marketing teams as well as the financial operation across the whole EMEA Goods division, supporting top and bottom line achievement by help determining pricing, margins, operational procedures and risk factors.

Responsibilities:

Drive daily/weekly/monthly sales performance analysis and reviews, identify actions to course correct the business and maximize results
In close partnership with the Marketing organization, Merchandising team and the Finance Marketing Manager, develop campaigns and promotional activity that optimise customer lifetime value and maximize short term financial output
Work in deep collaboration with the Goods Finance Controller and FD supporting forecasting activities, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
Pre-purchase deal qualification and approval, including all aspects beyond price, such as fulfilment costs, refunds, activation value, traffic value, etc…
Cross-functional collaboration to improve customer refunds
Education:

Degree in Finance or Economics preferred
Skills Required:

Solid commercial finance background preferably with experience in Retail, e-Commerce, Marketing and Sales Operations
7+ years relevant experience with a track record of growing within a company
Able to assess multiple business and financial factors to make quick and difficult judgment calls
Experience in developing models to drive business & profitability growth
Strong knowledge of business concepts including retail, inventory control and price-to-market
Problem solving & analysis skills, commitment & action oriented
Ability to manage and develop relationships effectively between key stakeholders
Strong line management capability to challenge, inspire and support others
Evidence of strategic thinking and innovation
Strong excel skills
