Job Description / Skills Required

Business intelligence analysts at Groupon Travel set up reports and use data to figure out market and business trends to increase profits and efficiency. Business intelligence analysts for travel gather this data through a number of ways, from mining our Groupon data through software, looking at competitor data and industry trends to help develop a picture of where Groupon travel stands in the industry, where we can improve and where we can reduce costs. Analyzing past trends, current conditions, looking at large amount of data, ability to provide the data in a good visualized way to communicate to the business stakeholders (Account Management/Revenue Management/Business Development Management)

Job Description

Implement standard reporting system based on business needs/requests for travel EMEA
Review and validate data as it is collected & presented
Set up reports in tableau
Monitor analytics and metrics results
Implement new data analysis methodologies & support the supply / demand teams on data/report requests
Review data to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization
Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
Ability for data collection & visualization
Application of statistical analysis
Prediction calculation skills
Analytical skills to identify trends
Identify weaknesses through data in the business
Provide technical support with existing reports/dashboards for the business
Additional Job Description

Advanced Excel
Very good oral and written English skills/any additional language is an asset
Good communication skills
SQL/Access/ Tableau experience would be beneficial including basic programming skills
Training/coaching skills are an asset
Visual design skills
Problem solving & results orientated
Ability to meet deadlines & produce quality results
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Intelligence/Computer Science/Math or related field preferred
3-4 year experience in a similar role
