The role of Global Deliverability Data Analyst is to contribute to and build the processes related with accurate reporting of email and mobile delivery metrics using internal and external data sources for consumption. This person will report to the Deliverability Data Operations Manager delivering regular iterations on reports, reporting systems, data integration projects, and in depth analysis of email and mobile delivery trends while advising internal stakeholders on email and mobile delivery and performance metrics. This person will also participate in a rotating on call schedule providing deliverability data specific support as required.

Responsibilities

Develop/update/monitor data processes for functionality, quality, and consistency.

Track KPIs for email reputation, as well as other KPIs to sup­port the deliverability team.

Create data parsing, monitoring, and analysis tools.

Work with 3rd party data sources to integrate information into Groupon tools.

Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports.

Develop and utilize instruments and methods for the evaluation and quality control of research or reputation data.

Perform problem recognition and analyze the root cause of data issues

Participate in cross-functional efforts on data to improve visibility into all aspects of data integrity

Liaise with the below teams on email and mobile delivery data

Messaging & Delivery Operations Team (MTA)

Messaging Operations Team

Email Deliverability Team

Rocketman Team

Push Marketing

Application Security Team

Netops Team

Splunk/Metrics Team

Vendors as required

Work with email ops team to ensure optimal data integrity ensuring all data sources are formatted as per published guidelines

Be available for a rotating on call schedule Deliverability Data support
Requirements

Extensive expertise (3-5 years) with queries such as SQL, UNIX, and SPL

In depth experience (3-5 years) with data tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Hive, Teradata, and Splunk

Ability to adapt communication content, message, and terminology based on the audience expressing ideas in a succinct manner using plain language

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to reach team goals and proactively seek assistance as required

Flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work within a global support organization

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
