This position based out of Dublin office will be part of our global Marketing Analytics team supporting Groupon’s EMEA Marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding, measuring, testing and reporting on the fundamental success factors that drive our drive Marketing success in the EMEA region.
The right candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical prowess, technical aptitude, and business savvy. Typical responsibilities include:
Translating business questions into analytic hypotheses, data needs and reporting requirements
Ensuring data-driven decision-making by providing actionable insights drawn from quantitative and qualitative information to help drive business decisions
Performing deep-dives to identify opportunities and develop specific actions needed to improve key performance indicators
Working with marketing and finance teams to optimize the allocation of spend different Marketing channels
Analysing Marketing results, and making conclusions and proposals of how to improve Marketing effectiveness
Developing ad-hoc analysis and reports
Strong analytical skills and experience working across different technologies / tools with the ability to comfortably work with large data sets
Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Advanced SQL & Excel skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Strong project management, communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with both technical and business teams
University degree required ideally in a technical or analytical discipline (MBA preferred)
Five years of business, consulting, finance or sales related analysis work required
Background or knowledge of Ecommerce or Digital Marketing is a plus
Understanding of attribution concepts and methodologies
Exposure to advanced tools like Tableau, Python, SPSS, SAS, R is a bonus
