The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing efforts for various corporate spend categories. The Analyst will support the team to perform client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost & performance improvement activities. In this role they will demonstrate and develop interpersonal, communication, analytic and financial skills to promote positive working relationships with business partners and suppliers. They will also be required to demonstrate and strengthen their Excel, PowerPoint, meeting facilitation and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

Filter technical details into actionable financial information for business partners
Provide support and analysis for Groupon's purchasing systems such as Coupa and NetSuite
Analyze market, customer requirements, pricing, category etc. to determine appropriate sourcing strategy
Conduct sophisticated spend analysis to uncover insight
Graphically summarize results in Excel and PowerPoint
Conduct market research to determine top suppliers and understand market conditions
Perform interviews and co-facilitate supplier and business partner meetings
Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply–market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements
Co-lead purchasing efforts of items up to ≈$100K
Communicate to stakeholders, customers and project teams on progress, barriers, results, and new opportunities
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Ability to perform complex analysis of business data and issues
Ability to assess business capabilities and identify gaps
Results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks
Demonstrate executive presence to become a true business partner –someone who is capable of contributing to broader business conversations beyond their functional expertise
Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
Must have strong business judgment and excellent project management skills
Have an interest in keeping up with technology industry events and trends
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, manage, and participate on teams with shared responsibility for outcomes and decision making
