Groupon seeks an entrepreneurial marketer with digital marketing, marketing communications and growth hacking expertise to help acquire, retain, and re-engage Groupon merchants. Excellent organizational, critical thinking and strong writing skills are essential for success. The candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, strategic, and effective digital marketing content, strategies and tactics, including management of Merchant Marketing SEO, social media and the merchant-facing website.

Responsibilities:

Develop SEO and social channel strategies that support acquisition of new merchants and re-engagement of existing merchants; own channel analytics and optimization

Product manage merchant-facing website (Groupon.com/merchant) in North America and support Groupon Merchant international platform; includes development and optimization of site/UX copy, strategy, and collaboration with designers, engineers, and analysts

Manage and deploy blog, social media and content strategy for Groupon Merchant; includes copy creation, management of external agencies and cross-functional collaboration

Support Merchant Marketing CRM/email program; includes copy creation, strategy and collaboration with Sales, Product and Legal

Build other integrated marketing and communications programs that support the Groupon Sales organization such as webpages, sales collateral, event marketing, and video

Work effectively with a cross-functional team (Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Product, Legal, PR) to ensure that all campaigns are on-brand and optimized for the small business community

Job Requirements/Specifications:

BA degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field

3-5 years of experience in digital, email and/or content marketing

Understanding of marketing, advertising, and communications; experience in business-to-business and/or inside and outside sales a plus

Experience project managing integrated marketing campaigns, including email, sales collateral, webpages, and social media

Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams

Strong creative eye, writing abilities, and analytical skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in an entrepreneurial environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following:

B2B copywriting experience

Blog content-writing background and CMS experience

Experience with A/B testing of content, email and landing pages

Working knowledge of CRM, SEM and other marketing channels

A deep, abiding love for the Oxford comma
