Working out of our Sydney headquarters, our Local Sales Division continues to establish Groupon as an integral marketing partner of top local businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

Establishing the relationship with our business partners, your role as a Business Development Executive is to highlight the best possible opportunities for our subscribers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Identify, engage, consult and close new local business owners across a wide spectrum of categories (including food, drink, health, beauty, lifestyle etc) on the benefits of featuring their business with Groupon
Devising marketing features that will assist merchants to increase and calibrate customer traffic and closing these deals over the phone
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting, cold calling and pipeline management
Sell the benefits of Groupon as a powerful marketing tool and in addition be able to sell the range of marketing channels we employ eg : EDMs, search engine management, behavior triggered push notifications and affiliate marketing
The ideal candidate

A positive and consultative approach, combined with an unyielding passion to succeed
Passionate and fearless in a sales environment and loves the thrill of the sales chase
Enthusiastic selling over the phone and comfortable cold calling various types of businesses
Strong negotiation and consultation skills
Prior Sales (inbound / outbound) or Customer Service experience
An outgoing personality and a great sense of humour!
