Groupon is looking for an Associate Technical Product Manager to join our team in Palo Alto, CA.
assist in gathering requirements from internal and external stakeholders;
provide manager with assessment of the competitive landscape to define the product, then work closely with the development teams to build out the services;
develop assigned technical products to engage both merchants and consumers;
work on the coordination and overall integration of platform services;
report on the work of software development engineers, product analysts, and marketing analysts;
collaborate on product, software, marketing, and sales to oversee the launch of new products;
review and participate in project design changes;
responsible for preparing budgets, bids, and contracts for manager review;
assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and merchant/consumer requirements;
participate in the creation, implementation, and refinement of key strategic technologies that impact customer experience across web sites globally;
help coordinate with both business and development teams in the U.S. and internationally to develop a customer experience on the logistics/supply chain platform.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, and 1 year of experience in technical product/program management, and online services, or related.
Work experience must have included:
(1) software lifecycle: design, quality analysis, deployment, scheduling, and projections;
(2) systems architecture and deployment project lifecycles;
(3) driving software development process for teams in multiple geographies;
(4) building out large-scale products/services based on functional and user interaction design;
(5) managing large data projects;
(6) coordination with internal and external partners and customers.
