This position is Sr. Project Manager responsible for managing all current and future GoPro aerial firmware and software projects.  This role includes project management of all firmware and software in the UAV, remote controllers, mobile apps, and handheld stabilization platforms.  You will be accountable to ensure all aerial programs meet defined product scope within budget and delivered on-time. 
What You Will Do
Lead multi-product, multi-site, Aerial software and firmware development through all phases from planning through to commercialization
Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure product requirements are documented and clearly communicated to Engineering and QA
Communicate program status to functional management and executive leadership on regular basis.
Coordinate with core team and key stakeholders to reach technical and program decisions efficiently.
Demonstrate program management best practices and contribute to improving the product development process.
Lead the aerial core teams to prepare for Phase Gate exit reviews and other key product lifecycle decisions with executive leadership
Lead cross-functional teams through problem resolution including change management, root cause analysis and corrective action.
Lead the aerial core teams to manage risks through creation of contingency plans and risk mitigation plans, and resolve issues before they impact project scope or schedule.
Coordinate with functional managers to ensure all aerial programs are effectively resourced and progressing within budget
Ensure effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications with the program core teams using a variety of tools and channels.

Experience in delivering business critical software solutions with a proven ability to manage across multiple products, technology platforms, and locations
A proven track record of executing of all aspects of product development including requirements, design, development, verification and validation as well as other aspects relevant to the final commercialized product
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence people and teams at all levels without direct authority.
Proven success building team member engagement; creating, communicating and building understanding of a shared vision.
Generally-accepted Program and Project Management tools including Agile methodologies
Exceptional critical thinking and change management skills.
Demonstrated analytical, decision making, prioritization and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and ambiguity to drive clarity and deliver results.
Experience navigating self and teams in cross-functional environments and/or matrix organizations.
Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Technical knowledge of embedded software and application software in consumer electronics products
Effective meeting management and group facilitation skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in new product development project management
