GoPro is seeking a highly motivated, top tier candidate to take on the responsibilities of a Sr. Product Analyst role for Camera Analytics. As a member of the Product Analytics team, you will work closely with the Data Science and Engineering team to process large data sets with statistical algorithms, & derive deep product insights to improve our products and in turn improve the user experience. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to developing behavioral and functional product metrics, using analytics to identify actionable insights for product improvements, and running ad-hoc analyses to drive business decisions.
What You Will Do:
The Sr. Product Analyst is responsible for GoPro hardware analytics, including but not limited to cameras
Explore GoPro’s complex datasets to generate insights and patterns to inform decision making across the company
Lead analysis of fundamental product and business metrics for key teams including Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, CRM, Digital Services, Quality, CS, and more
Use data to educate teams on the customer experience; guide application of metrics to assist cross-department decision-making
Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
Identify data mining opportunities and coordinate instrumentation for new metrics and analytics
Collaborate with other analysts to understand & analyze camera usage through GoPro apps and services
Work closely with consumer insights and UX research teams to level-up insights to maximize impact and influence at GoPro
Skills We’re Stoked About:
3+ years of Product Analytics experience preferably with a Consumer Electronics company
Experience using Tableau, Python, R, SAS, or similar data analysis tools
Experience using visualization libraries like Plotly, Seaborn, Bokeh, ggplot2, or similar
Strong SQL skills
Analytical thinker with a strong passion for data, charts, analysis, trends, and evangelizing data usage across various teams
Bachelor/Graduate degree in analytics, statistics, engineering, math, economics, or science
Coding (shell scripting, Python, Java, PHP, etc.) is a plus
Advanced Statistical modeling skills in Python or R or other stats packages is a plus
