What You Will Do
This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of return on GoPro’s investment in athlete, partner and event sponsorships in the Motorsports and Board verticals. The primary duties include ensuring all deliverables and athlete / partner expectations are being met, reviewing incoming business opportunities, and providing product tech support to our external partners. The role requires reporting, administration and project management.
As part of the Global Sports Marketing department, the Motorsports vertical consists of 2-wheel and 4-wheel; and, Board includes surf, skateboarding and wakeboard. This position reports to the Senior Sports Marketing Manager, Motorsports.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of all Motorsports / Board athletes and events in conjunction with the Vertical Managers
Responsible for the logistical functions of the department including purchase orders, product orders, event logistics, and video/photo shoots
Leverage relationships and track deliverables with sponsored athletes and organizations to ensure maximum return on investment for GoPro in the form of content capture, social media, media production, and branding
Leverage our athletes and properties to drive awareness and sales surrounding product launches. Implement campaigns and key selling periods into event / talent activations
Track athletes on monthly basis to ensure completion of monthly contract deliverables
Track deliverables from film/media partners, as well as strategic partnerships
Manage incoming Netsuite case files related to Sponsorship and Business Development opportunities
Provide preliminary Review of incoming Business Development opportunities received via phone, email and case files from other departments
Make decisions to offer Pro Deals, No Deals, or forward to appropriate Sports Marketing Vertical Manager for additional review and follow up
Escalate the high-level opportunities to Sports Marketing Vertical Manager or Director for further review; and, provide vital feedback to ensure the success of the categories
Route inquiries to the proper GoPro employee for Media, Marketing & Sponsorship, Sales, and Business Development
Provide Product Technical assistance to sponsored athletes, pro deal customers and global partnerships
Drive strong integration of GoPro Brand, product and athletes into all event and tradeshow properties
Management of Hookit online sponsorship portal for amateur athlete sponsorship inquiries

Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
Solid online research skills
Tradeshow and Event experience preferred
3+ years of experience working within either the adventure sports or snow sports industry, with direct experience within Motorsports / Board based sports
High level of GoPro product knowledge, a plus
Ability to travel – approx. 25%
