Requirements:

Prior experience in working with EDW systems is preferred along with a domain knowledge in the field of E-commerce being preferable.
Proficient in Java or Scala.
Expertise in Python.
Experienced in developling application using web development frameworks like Play, Django, Angularjs 1-2.
Extensive experience/knowledge in Big Data tech stack like Hadoop,YARN compatable applications like Map-reduce, Hive, Spark, Streaming ,HBase, Kafka, Elasticsearch etc.
Expertise in databases like Mysql or Postgres. Knowledge and experience with Nosql databases like Cassandra is good to have.
Well-versed in functional and object oriented design with emphasis on test driven development, behavior driven development and agile development practices.
Should be comfortable with development tools like Git (SCM), Jenkins (CI) and mocking frameworks, nginx (load balancing)
Should be able to program in wide spectrum of software engineering from database query tuning, android mobile development, and building web applications to providing big data solutions.
Should be able to get into the shoes of business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate the same to technical specifications with recommendation on optimal design patterns to be adopted.
Ability to own all aspects of application operations from infrastructure orchestration to system resource monitoring. Experience working with linux machines is mandatory and linux administration skills is a nice to have.
Domain knowledge of e-commerce platform would be a big advantage.

Mentor other developers on technical issues and modern web development best practices.

Experience in leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of innovation and thought leadership.
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms.
Should have great problem solving skills and should be able to produce high quality cross-browser, cross-platform and highly scalable large applications.
