Part of the broader sales team, the Travel team is responsible for sourcing compelling getaways including hotels and unique travel experiences. Market Executives sell and negotiate the best deals with quality accommodation providers across ANZ and the wider APAC region. Owning the end to end relationship with our business partners, your role is to highlight the best possible opportunities for our subscribers.

As a Market Executive, you will also play a key role in driving new business for our global travel platform. You will focus on new product offerings, establishing and building new relationships with suppliers, listening to their needs to craft a compelling bespoke campaign.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:

Consistently secure new Hotels merchants and accommodation providers to expand our subscriber base and depth of inventory

Build and maintain long term relationships with a portfolio of new partners to grow their business, and to maximise repeat feature business

Proactively call & meet with potential clients, leverage off verified research leads, proactively utilise your existing networks

Present Groupon as a unique marketing and distribution channel by constructing the best solutions for each client and managing the sales cycle end to end

Create and deliver unique selling points for each deal

Identify emerging trends and apply this knowledge to leverage sales

Develop familiarity with hotel partner’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, economic model, and revenue and profit drivers as it relates to driving occupancy

Be held to revenue goals and seek to identify new and creative travel packages that will build toward this revenue goal

The ideal candidate:

Experience in Hotelier sales, revenue management, online travel, wholesale or ecommerce in the Australian market (APAC market knowledge and contacts highly desirable)

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of travel industry and emerging trends

Motivated by the thrill of creating new business relationships in a high volume, target driven environment

Exceptionally strong negotiation and consultation skills

Have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to guaranteed daily changes

Strong relationship building background, ability to instantly build rapport
