GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting position.

What You Will Do:

The role will be responsible for GoPro's overall compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal and external reporting, and audit requirements
This includes the filing of SEC forms 10-Q and 10-K, compliance with XBRL requirements, and preparation and review of press releases
In addition, this position will be responsible for technical accounting research, accounting memo preparation, new standard implementation, and maintenance of SOX controls related to financial reporting
Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Responsible for all timely and accurate external reporting, including primary responsibility of 10-Q and10-K and significant input to proxy and press release
Evaluate business transactions for proper accounting treatment and maintain the internal controls over financial reporting
Implement new accounting policies and procedures to respond to changes in internal policies, SEC/GAAP, and SOX 404 requirements
Draft technical memos, research papers and accounting positions
Key interface with external auditors on technical accounting positions
Provide on-going technical training for the accounting organization
Provide technical accounting direction to GoPro's foreign entities
Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to develop and maintain GoPro's financial accounting policies and standards
Provide a high level of customer service within finance and to non-finance business partners
Skills We’re Stoked About:

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, FASB pronouncements and EITFs
8+ years of experience, including a mix of Big 4 Public accounting and private industry experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, FASB pronouncements, EITFs etc.
Prior experience in active drafting and preparing of SEC filings including XBRL tagging
Preferred experience with cost accounting, manufacturing and equity related accounting matters
Working knowledge and experience with Workiva (aka – Wdesk)
Strong execution, follow-up and attention to detail
Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think out of the box
Very strong leadership experience, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
Able to keep deadlines at a fast pace without losing accuracy
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
