The People Operations Specialist is highly engaged, able to handle on-going operational needs, and do a deep dive into specialized projects. You will be responsible for all People Operations specific initiatives to address organizational needs, and development of relevant guidelines for the organization. You will act as the first point of contact for GoPro employees, and work closely with Business Partners and business leaders to facilitate strategic initiatives, support site planning, and provide additional operational support and training.
What You Will Do:
Develop sustainable people operations processes and procedures;
Develop, document and maintain country-specific guidelines for HRBPs and people team;
Manage local trainings and roll out of companywide initiatives. Keeping on-point with GoPro brand and messaging;
Work with vendors and brokers to create partnerships and manage People Operations programs;
Analyze problems, determine approach, compile and analyzes data, and prepare reports/recommendation;
Review and provide guidance on employment practices and compliance for your region.
New Hires & On-boarding
Assist the recruitment and People team with completion of employment agreements, registration of new employees with local authorities, etc.
Manage New Hire Orientation for Bucharest and partner with US People Operations; Manager, local department leads, and presenters to refresh and maintain content;
Work cross functionally with recruiting, IT, WPS, payroll, and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding of new employees;
Communicate with new hires and managers about the new hire process;
Collect new hire documentation, benefits enrollments, and review for eligibility in benefits;
Participate in weekly onboarding events.
Answer routine employment questions and provide guidance to employees;
Resolve routine Employee Relations issues and escalate as needed;
Responsible for document storage and employee file compliance on-site;
Prepare termination paperwork and assist BP, People with on-site terminations;
Respond to verification of employment requests.
Benefits and Occupational Health
Process benefit elections and partner with the benefits broker and payroll team to update employee information and ensure all benefits transactions are processed accurately;
Engage with local benefits and occupational health vendors;
Maintain compliance with local occupational health requirements.
Conduct all data entry for new hires;
Process employee status changes including org changes, manager changes, salary changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and leave of absence.
Audit data, pull reports and load data;
Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance.
Skills We’re Stoked About:
2-5 years previous Human Resources experience in a complex, fast paced environment;
Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles;
Essential technical skills: Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Experience with an HRIS preferred, but not crucial;
Ability to gracefully handle competing priorities simultaneously;
Outstanding follow through, self directed and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency;
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor with a high regard for confidentiality;
Excellent writing skills and ability to make updates and changes as needed to intranet and documentation;
Strong time management skills and ability to make judgment calls;
Ability to work collaboratively with remote leadership ;
Open to give and receive feedback;
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality;
Ability to establish strong relationships within all levels of an organization.
