The Advertising Manager drives the vision, strategy and execution (in line with global strategy) for Advertising activities related to GoPro’s prioritizes in the APAC region. APAC region covers China & Japan currently but might include other countries in 2018. This role will be based in Shanghai.
The Advertising Manager drives advertising strategy, production and execution across digital (SEM, display, paid social, paid video, programmatic and retargeting) and ATL (print, OOH, TV / OTT, cinema).
Lead strategic direction and manage, optimize and report on paid performance across digital and offline campaigns in Japan & China covering paid social, display, paid search, paid video, OOH, OTT, programmatic and retargeting
Direct and manage relationship with agency teams, delivering briefs, guidance and budgeting direction to ensure teams are prioritizing and executing on objectives
Partner with key business groups to drive revenue, awareness and consideration
Own process for creative requests, managing creative refreshes and collaborating with internal creative teams based on audience targets
Ensure all product content & messaging programmed to the online and offline ad channels maintain a high degree of relevance to target audiences across key markets
Work with the analytics team to summarize, report and optimize product campaign delivery and performance metrics on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for the America’s programs
Partner with sales teams to drive integrated marketing campaigns with key APAC retail partners
Lead infrastructure and ad tech projects to drive digital marketing innovation and efficiency
An agile cross-functional team leader who is comfortable working within a with a fast-paced environment
5+ years’ experience of building and executing multi-channel digital marketing plans at globally recognized brands that complement GoPro
Experience planning and buying digital media to achieve brand awareness and sales objectives
Extensive cross-channel digital planning and buying experience including digital video, display, paid social and search
Agency relationship management, from briefing to plan execution
Strong local market knowledge and ability to provide digital partner recommendations for China and Japan
Proven experience planning and buying programmatic digital media
Digital landscape expertise and experience working with industry leading tools for attribution, brand lift measurement, ad serving, viewability and reporting
Must be strategic, creative, organized, and be able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall marketing goals
3-5 years of experience with strong knowledge of the major global and regional Social Media platforms
Self-motivated, creative, collaborative and interested in emerging trends
Highly motivated individual who is capable of working in the details while ensuring the overall program is on strategy
Capable of managing and completing multiple projects and priorities at the same time within a rapidly changing environment
Bilingual (English + Cantonese + ideally additional: Japanese)
Willing and able to travel
Based in Shanghai
Excellent communication skills: written, spoken, & listening in multiple languages
