Quality and Compliance Manager – Hardlines and Toys

Job Description / Skills Required

Use expertise to ensure that all Hardlines and Toy products sold by Groupon Goods EMEA meet all Legal and European Safety requirements and products are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations.

Management of vendors to ensure that Groupon Goods Quality and Compliance processes and procedures are being adhered to and where necessary provide training, tools and techniques to enable a reduction in quality and compliance related refunds and customer service issues.

Job responsibilities

Develop compliance and quality strategy for hard-lines and toys in line with business initiatives.
Conduct audits to ensure vendor adherence to legal and compliance standards.
Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
Publish written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies EG: Trading Standards.
Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
Direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
Review customer complaints and take the appropriate steps to resolve and prevent future issues.
Ensure customer feedback informs strategy to ensure continuous improvement.
Create Product Development specifications on new emerging products.
Ensure appropriate and relevant documentation and record keeping is adopted to monitor quality and compliance
Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.
Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
Review or modify policies or operating guidelines to comply with changes to legal regulations.
Implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization.
Skills and Experience

Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role, managing the quality assurance aspects of ​Toys.
High level communication skills and the ability to network and negotiate effectively with individuals and groups, within the company and externally.
Effective communication within team and with stakeholders
Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills including record keeping, establishing and using effective administrative systems.
Able to prioritize, plan and organize own work to meet deadlines and targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
