Job Description / Skills Required
This person will work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Product and Operation teams to achieve revenue goals defined as gross billings, gross revenue, both before and after refunds, gross profit, units, activation count and retained customers. They will own the demand revenue streams for the region monitoring category returns, leveraging the Merchandising function to drive growth.
Work closely with international buying team to provide merchandising and product strategy and help identifying correct products to source for the goods platform.
Directly manage a team of merchandisers to ensure all KPIs are met.
Source and solidify top-tier-brands wanted lists for the buying team to target
Research product landscape to keep current with industry trends and pricing dynamics in the consumer-product-goods space
Identifying market trends, spotting opportunities and driving the buying team to capitalise upon these
Close co-operation with an international buying team for the development of merchandising and product strategies and selection as well as optimization of the right products for the goods platform and different marketing channels.
Daily, weekly and quarterly sales analysis of the Groupon goods performance as well as individual categories with derivation of actions.
Create a weekly and monthly revenue forecast, as well as identify gaps in the forecast of individual categories or subcategories, and create sales plans to fill these gaps.
Creation and monitoring of productivity forecasts for optimal planning of personnel in other departments.
Collaborate with different marketing channels to optimize product marketing.
Collaboration and control of European-wide merchandising projects.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Merchandising/Planning with strong preference in ecommerce with knowledge of SEO SEM Affiliates Display / internet marketing
A Masters’ degree is essential
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot, S-reference, etc.) with strong analytical skills
Fluency in Dutch and English. Fluency in French is also desirable but not essential
Previous people management experience and revenue management is a plus
A Self-starter who is creative and a decision-maker
