Groupon is seeking an eager, get-it-done Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join our Marketing Finance team. The position will be responsible for helping to plan, forecast, report, and optimize Groupon’s strategic investment in global computational marketing (SEM, Display, Mobile and Affiliates), push marketing (email, app notifications), and marketing promotions. The SFA will achieve her/his objectives through complex financial modeling and analysis and close collaboration with the Global Marketing, Business, and Finance teams.
Global finance support for all computational and push marketing channels, promotions, and customer relationship management (CRM) programs. Partner with Marketing, Finance, and the business teams to plan, track, analyze, and optimize marketing’s ROI
Partner with the Marketing Analytics and CRM teams to assess short term and long term impact of marketing actions and order discount campaigns and changes to customer behavior and their financial implications
Corroborate with customer growth team to plan, forecast, and conduct gap analysis regarding customers
Provide insights and support around customer lifetime value and lifecycle
Perform ad-hoc, deep dive analysis helping identify areas of inefficient marketing actions and highlighting the winning strategies on which Groupon should double-down
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field
3+ years of relevant work experience with a heavy emphasis on financial modeling and analysis
Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to help achieve strategic and operational goals
‘Builder’ mentality – identifies problems quickly and is eager to build solutions from scratch, not just improve on others work.
Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
Must have great analytical skills, strong business judgment and be an excellent prioritizer
Proven ability to extract meaningful and actionable insight from large, disparate datasets
Advanced MSFT Excel skills required, Tableau skills a plus, SQL knowledge a plus
