Job Description / Skills Required

Payroll processing for Ireland, Belgium and Morocco. Knowledge of French language required. This role will coordinate operations with Human Resources, Treasury, Accounting, Commissions and Benefit teams, leveraging our Payroll services outsource providers and internal systems and tools.

Core Responsibilities:

Payroll: Manage multiple monthly payrolls for a group of EMEA countries, and receiving and responding to incoming calls and cases. As the first point of contact with our internal customers, the team will have a significant impact on our ability to meet SLA’s and a right first time approach will be critical to our service delivery. The specialist will also need to manage customers with requests that are outside the scope of services contracted and manage incoming escalations/rework, ensuring that confidence of the customer is maintained and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

Payroll responsibilities but not limited to:
● Responsible for the quality of payrolls processed by the outsourced payroll provider
● Establish & maintain payroll records
● Collating data from multiple departments and ensuring all payments and deductions
and processed accurately
● Responsibility of being expert in all related processes and country specifics, owning
and updating documentation and communicating changes
● Validation of all payments and deductions
● Submitting pay period payments as 1st level of banking approvals
● Ensuring full knowledge of policies and external taxation regulations – ensuring all
payments are duly authorized, correct, and technically compliant
● Acquire technical mastery of the payroll systems in place
● Assist HR local contacts with their queries
● Strive to deliver excellence in Customer Service to all stakeholders at all times
● Maintaining payroll accounting journals and supporting the finance team to analyse
and explain monthly fluctuations of Payroll expenses
● Support General Accounting team to reconcile monthly Payroll accruals
● Manage significant changes in payroll communicating with internal and external
stakeholders on projects that impact payroll
● Maintain and improve accurate controls
● Benefits administration for new hires and pension auto enrolment admin on an
ongoing basis
● Good communication skills and organizational skills as well as flexibility
● Answer employees payroll questions, within expected timeframe
● Attention to detail and accuracy in every aspect of the role
● Analytical skills, ability to work with numbers
● Sense of responsibility, urgency, strong service orientation and teamwork
● Maintaining full confidentiality and discretion at all times, due to the sensitivity of the data

● Responsible for payroll SOX controls
● Ensure SOX processes effectiveness
● Liaise with external and internal auditors to answer inquiries

Change management:
● Involved in all ad-hoc projects including process improvements within the international environment

● 3-5 years’ experience within a payroll/accounting department
● Confident with managing multiple payrolls end to end
● Good communication skills and organizational skills as well as flexibility
● Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
● Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines;
● Analytical and logical mind with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
● CloudPay and Workday experience is preferable but not essential.
● Respect for confidentiality;
● To have worked on a manual and outsourced payroll would be beneficial
● Degree level in payroll, accounting, HR or finance a plus
● Knowledge of French language required
