Groupon is looking for hungry business-minded people that want to learn and start their Sales career on the ground floor. Help us continue to build our Merchant sales team as we continue our larger quest of building the operating system for local commerce.
Merchant Developer at Groupon develops partnerships with local merchants in cities across The Netherlands. This gig is all about being the first point of contact between Groupon and the nation’s best local businesses. You’ll be responsible for understanding each business’s unique value proposition to our subscribers, how Groupon can help accelerate their business and then negotiating unbeatable offers on behalf of Groupon’s subscribers.

Core Responsibilities:
Primary owner of Groupon’s relationship with merchants
Develops familiarity with merchants’ business including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers
Understands and applies concepts of deal structure and strategy that are proven models for successful achievement of merchant’s desired outcomes
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business degree or classes preferred)
Must display leadership experience, strong work ethic, communication skills and success dealing with customers
Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
Strong analytical skills
Fluent in Dutch (English a plus)
