What You Will Do
This position is responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of display and touch UI technologies, including working closely with silicon partners and hardware team to specify and verify cameras and camera
Architect and design low cost displays and other UI means such as touch sensors and controllers for cameras and camera accessories
Work closely with members from the Mechanical, UX and Firmware/ Software Engineering, Quality teams to assure best design trade-offs
Investigate, study, and introduce new designs utilizing “state of the art” UI components
Perform schematic capture and layout of new designs
Develop system concepts for high-volume products that are designed for manufacturability
Work closely with our development partners, including managing technical assignments,
Develop documentation and processes to ensure high product quality
Perform bench level debug and performance testing for both early development and sustaining product support
Perform characterization of LCD, OLED, Reflective display panels.
Develop roadmaps for display and touch technologies.
 
Skills We’re Stoked About 
Bachelors of Electrical Engineering Degree required, Masters preferred
7-15 year experience in hardware development
Proven successful track record in display and touch technology implementation
A system thinker with ability to contribute to a platform design
Ability to define, set-up, and execute display module metrics – Optical, Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical, and Touch.
Familiar with the design process from concept through board development and system
Hands-on experience with bring up and trouble shooting of boards and systems
Low cost portable consumer electronics design experience
Ability to work cross‐functionally, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently and with little direction in a fast paced multi‐tasking environment
Results and deadline driven, excellent team player and takes great pride and ownership in designs
