GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Greater China Training Manager role. This individual will collaborate with key disciplines throughout GoPro to ensure we foster a global community of credible influencers within the Greater China region. The Greater China Training Manager will manage the training relationship with our international distributors and retailer partners in Greater China to create comprehensive and custom training programs geared towards each market. In addition, this individual will work to drive out-of-the-box training tactics to enhance retailer engagement.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Greater China, this position will work closely with global training team to create comprehensive training programs focused around Greater China Distributors and Retailers
Work with Director, Global Training to build and manage Greater China Training activities. Assist in all training content creation processes, tools and resources specific to the Greater China channel
Manage partnerships with Distributors and Retailers to initiate and execute training initiatives
Work with Distributors to build out Train-the-Trainer program by hiring their own dedicated trainers
Establish field team tactics for quick deployment of assisted sales and merchandising floor support
Participate in eLearning and online strategy and execution; support platform expansion (WeChat Online Training Platform, Training App, BrandLive, etc.)
Collaborate with Channel and Creative teams at GoPro HQ to ensure consistent messaging, execution and reporting
Become an expert with Retailer's training programs, selling and merchandising strategies
Catalog market and account needs and specifications regarding retail education
Visit field regularly to maintain realistic view on program: Distributors, Account Managers, Retailers, end consumers and competitors
Travel to Distributors, accounts and events as necessary to deliver training message and present product information (training events, trade shows, sales summits and QBRs, PR and marketing events, etc.)
Establish community experience with retail partners; creating open lines of communication
As necessary – support in-house training needs and marketing/event training activations
Work with Sales team to impact sell thru, attach and return rates
Work with Sales team to track KPIs and ROI on all training initiatives
Identify methods of improvements within all program tactics
Track all event details utilizing calendar, training lead forms, training tracker, etc.
Participate in weekly Training Planning and Monthly Recap Meetings
Communicate up weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly – speak to your business
Skills We’re Stoked About
College degree in associated field plus 5-7 years of related experience
Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin. Exceptional presentation and communication skills (written, verbal, interactive, etc.)
Experience working with distributors and key accounts in a sales/marketing/training capacity is key
Ability to multi task and work in an autonomous environment with minimal direction or supervision
Ability to work cross-functionally with key teams within the GoPro organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as needed
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to the company's culture and constant evolution
Experience with eLearning and mobile platforms
Proficient in PowerPoint and/or Keynote, Ai, Excel, SCORM Experience managing 3PL vendors for Assisted Sales/Merchandising Programs
Strong research skills Tech savvy, use or knowledge of GoPro a plus Greater China travel required –
