The Software Quality Tester will be a part of the team responsible for performing tests against QA test plans for validation of multiple interdependent products. In addition, the role will be responsible for reporting, bug tracking and representing the QA team in status meetings. The ideal candidate should have experience performing Quality Assurance testing for consumer products as well as mobile and/or desktop. As a Software Quality Tester you will be working as part of a cross-functional agile project team to maintain high quality for GoPro’s Web Sites, Mobile clients, and/or Desktop clients.
What You Will Do
Responsible for Localization Functional QA test planning and documentation adaptation
Responsible for reporting, bug tracking and representing Localization QA in project status meetings
Participate in internal and external bug scrubs
Responsible for providing weekly status on overall Localization QA efforts
Responsible for enforcing Localization QA Best Practices established based on guidelines from the Globalization team
Focus on driving high quality standards and ensuring user experience for non-English speakers is at par with core English speaking audience
Support customer service for quality related issues
Skills We’re Stoked About
5+ years experience in a product localization functional QA test function: preferably mobile and/or desktop.
Fluency in at least two foreign languages, preferably any combination in the following group welcome (Arabic, German, French, Finnish, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Chinese)
Experience in Internationalizations and Localization testing, including understanding of bug triaging and prioritization relevant to the different locales
Knowledge of localization and globalization tools, workflows, and technology a plus
Experience and/or knowledge of automation testing
Experience in test plan and test case creation
Experience in testing of consumer products
System integration test experience
Experience testing Android and iOS devices
Experience in testing WiFi devices
A strong knowledge of video and still camera technologies
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Have strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and issues concurrently
Results and deadline driven
Ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and identify the relevant information in reporting a defect
