As one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated direct marketers, data is the lifeblood of our business. We are looking for a world-class business analyst to join our new Groupon+ team in Seattle to help power the biggest strategic initiative at Groupon; No-Printout cashback (CLO) and Salon & Spa booking (BeautyNow) products.

At this role you will be responsible for designing and building data infrastructure, data visualizations, analytics services, and predictive models that you and your stakeholders will use to describe business performance, estimate customer and business metrics, and prescribe courses of action across these programs.

The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical prowess, technical aptitude, and business savvy. He or she will be comfortable working closely with business, product and operations teams to understand business problems, produce insights, and operationalize analytics.


Deep experience in big data analytics, SQL & Reporting

Strong Excel, Tableau and other reporting tools

Experience with Python, Unix or R

Self-starter, strong sense of ownership, getting things done

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Mathematics, Computer science, Statistics or Business Systems. Master degree with 3+ years experience or Bachelor degree with 5+ years experience in related area

Experience with data warehouse technologies like Teradata, Oracle, MySQL & Hive

Experience with Tableau or any similar reporting tools

Experience with Unix or Python programming

Strong written and oral communication skills with business partners and technical teams

Time management and prioritization skills

A background in Statistics
