Groupon is looking for an Account Manager to join the Sales team. Reporting into the Regional Director, you will be responsible for managing merchant accounts, the commercial relationship with existing large or small local businesses and proactively contacting merchants to maintain a consistent high level of service delivery whilst identifying further new business opportunities with these merchants.

What the role entails:

•Manage and expand relationships with existing merchants
•Proactively contact existing merchants to identify further new business opportunities
•Maintains regular contact with merchants and explores all additional revenue stream opportunities
•Achieve and exceed on weekly and monthly KPIs
•Maintain and grow the revenue and gross profit of each account
•Reviews key stats with the merchant post feature such as CSAT scores and number of vouchers sold
•Put long-term plans in place to provide the merchant with an element of permanence
•Keep the platform exciting with our regular partners through new and exciting ideas
•Construct and negotiate offers which meet expectations of Groupon, merchants and the customer
•Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your merchants business and how you can work on a marketing campaign that is mutually beneficial
•Good understanding of seasonality's and how often you can feature merchants based on the services they provide
•Work with internal support functions to ensure that every deal that goes live on the platform meets quality standards
•Strong knowledge of all aspects of the Groupon business model and the daily deal market

What we need from you

• 2+ years’ experience within an Account Management role
•Proven track record of Account Management or Territory Sales with B2B sales experience, preferably in any of the following areas: media, recruitment, advertising, and e-commerce
•Excellent communication skills, must have a consultative sales approach and be a strong persuader and influencer
•Strong relationship builder, has a positive attitude and is a team player •Highly driven, is self-motivated, target orientated, resilient and tenacious
•Is customer focused, enjoys working autonomously, hits the ground running and demonstrates a willingness to learn
•Strong analytical skills, makes well judged decisions, good numeracy, pays strong attention to detail, is a strong problem solver, demonstrates good commercial awareness and thinks outside the box to generate new ideas
•Has a flexible approach, thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a fast paced environment
•Highly organised and plans and prioritises work effectively
•Undergraduate degree desirable
