Job Description / Skills Required
Specific Duties Include:
Development of data infrastructure for enabling processes and reporting for lifecycle marketing and extracting customer insights that will influence key decisions
Creation of dashboards and reports providing insight into business data.
Monitoring and optimization of existing and new campaigns and experiments through data analysis
Identify root causes of data issues and develop solutions
Partner with business teams across Groupon to identify key customer attributes to add to our Customer Authority tables and ensure data quality.
Make recommendations to management for reporting and data strategies and roadmaps.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, software developers, data engineers and data scientists to improve data quality of our data platforms
Clearly communicates progress against goals and insights with business leadership with keen ability to summarize findings.
2+ years of data-driven, analytics or engineering experience demonstrating success in ingesting, analyzing, and presenting large data-sets
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
Expertise with SQL, ETL, Hadoop as well as Excel and Google Sheets
Knowledge of a scripting language (preferably Python) or object oriented programming
Expertise with Tableau or other visualization tools
Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to help achieve strategic and operational goals
‘Builder’ mentality – identifies problems quickly and is eager to build solutions from scratch, not just improve on others work.
Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
Must have great analytical skills, strong business judgment and be an excellent project manager and prioritizer
