Sales Manager – Live Events and Ticketing

Groupon UK is looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join the GrouponLive Team. The GrouponLive team specialises in bringing concerts, dynamic live events and other mood-altering experiences to our subscribers.

As a member of team – you will source these opportunities, and partner with event promoters, producers and publicists to properly populate places with people. But it’s more than that. Many of our best reps utilise their related experience in live event sales and/or local merchant advertising, and craft experiences around each event so that it’s more than simply attendance. We hire sales professionals who are innovative, diligent, and who can demonstrate a capacity to craft a compelling experience for each event that aligns with the promoter’s business needs.

The position is based at our head office in central London and is responsible for Live Music and Ticketing clients across the UK and Ireland.

What you will be doing:

Prospect, consult with, and close local venues and national ticket promoters on compelling Live Music event choices for our subscribers.
Stay current with trends in the Music industry to identify relevant activities to be featured and expand the range of LIVE events on offer to our subscribers
Present GrouponLive as a platform for venues and ticket promoters to utilise as a way of acquiring new customers, key account management and managing yield of open seating.
Utilise knowledge of deal structure, ticketing and strategy in order to reach new and existing clients’ objectives and maximise profit for both parties.
What we need from you:

Demonstrable success is New Business Sales and Account Management within the Ticketing/ Live Music industry or similar
Experience cold calling, understanding individual profit & loss dynamics, and articulating a value proposition
High degrees of diligence and self-motivation, with evidence of personal results
Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition to improve
Exceptional negotiation and consultation skills
The ability to work both autonomously and to provide entrepreneurial spark to an exciting and fast growing platform
The ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges at a moment’s notice.
