You will be part of the team that is responsible for the lifeblood of the YuMe platform, and have the opportunity to be a superhero in the world of high-volume, real-time, open-source systems.
Collect, analyze, and present actionable data to drive marketing, business development and product management decisions at a senior level.
Understand high-level business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to meet needs of business.
Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data.
Learn and understand a broad range of Yume’s data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use.
A Typical work day of a DMP Engineer
Work closely with PM Team to understand & analyze requirements
Create design documentation & review the same with the team
Collaborate with teams across geographies to finalize design documents
Create low level design & test case for the module/feature
Write code & work with version management tools
Own a feature/module & take it till go live
Should write & execute unit test cases
Should write & execute functional, integration test cases
Should write test cases for existing features (backlog)
Should contribute in code review & improve guideline documents
Should analyze & fix issues found post development
Actively contribute in supporting product on need basis
Participate in design review of other features
Needs to update & embrace self on latest happenings in the domain as well as the relevant technologies
5+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology, as well as experience in diving deep on data analysis or technical issues to come up with effective solutions.
Experience in data mining of structured and unstructured data (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, Machine Learning etc.) in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets.
Proven ability to look at solutions in unconventional ways. Sees opportunities to innovate and can lead the way.
Proven communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Education and Years of Experience
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
7+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycles.
2+ years hands-on experience in Hadoop, Hive, Pig and/or other Big Data related technologies.
