GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate to take on the responsibilities of Product Manager – Accessories. The position will own product requirements for a range of accessory products. The Product Manager will champion product features, functionality, and experience and lead the product development phases by collaborating with cross functional teams during the research and definition phases. In addition, the position will help identify key feature opportunities for mounts and accessories, document phases of the product and manage tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost and pricing. The ideal candidate will have experience writing clear and concise documents and experience in consumer electronics industry.

What You Will Do

Lead accessories product definition process: Use Cases, Features, User Experience, Business, Compatibility, Transition etc.
Collaborate with cross functional teams (i.e. Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Sales Planning, Marketing, Media and Brand) through the complete product development cycle
Manage tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost, pricing, line/value positioning and early phase lifecycle management
Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Program Management as necessary throughout the various phases of product development
Identify opportunities for improving the customer experience
Identify key feature opportunities for mounts and accessories
Document all phases of the product, Product brief, , PRD and Strategy
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for future products
Discern new product development opportunities while contributing to the development of the overall camera and camera accessories product line strategy
Attain expert knowledge of competitive and 3rd Party solutions and products
Participate in key vendor meetings for opportunity identification
Follow the GoPro Lifecycle development process

Skills We’re Stoked About

3+ years of product management experience in consumer electronics industry
BS/BA degree
Proven successful record with cradle to grave product management or similar track of project management
Experience writing clear and concise product requirements documents
Results and deadline driven
Motivated self-starter and detail oriented
Passion and dedication to work in a dynamic and exciting team environment

Preferred

Experience with Photo and Video camera related products
Active and passionate participant in GoPro related verticals
Experience in multiple consumer electronic product categories
Familiarity with and experience using GoPro cameras, mounts, accessories and compatible 3rd party products
MS/MA/MBA preferred
