National Sales Manager, China

Job Description / Skills Required

This role will be responsible for and not limited to leading our China sales team as well as managing distributor relationships and direct accounts in China. This position will be responsible for existing distributor business models as well as new retailer accounts and distributor accounts under development. This is a hands-on, individual contributor and strategic role focused on driving increased revenue and problem solving. In addition, this role will develop strong partnerships, develop and execute integrated sales and marketing plan with strategic partners. This role will have a demonstrated ability of longevity in role and progression in organization and ability to overachieve sales goals and targets.

What You Will Do:

Exceed the Company’s ambitious growth plans in terms of both revenue growth and profitability of sales
Oversee sales team to ensure proper merchandising is being executed throughout all partner doors
Ensure that ROI is maximized across all channel marketing programs through detailed planning, forecasting and accurate reporting of expenditures
Partner with brand/digital marketing and channel marketing team to ensure cohesive online/offline marketing programs
Keep track of weeks of supply on hand and manage the purchase cycle with the key account to ensure stock levels match up with (demand) sell-thru forecasts
Work closely with legal and brand protection in tracking/protecting our IP online
Find new opportunities outside traditional retail placement
Ensure joint plans are adapted as necessary in line with internal and external challenges and opportunities to ensure maximum revenue and profitability
Manage implementation of the Sales plan through collaborating with a highly professional, polished and results oriented team
Lead a team of account managers to complete joint business planning
Lead forecasting accurate pipelines and inventory management
Provide performance review and suggest improvements
Ensure regular and effective communication within the team, company and partners
Produce weekly and monthly activity reports

Skills We’re Stoked About:

5-10 years of online/retail experience with an international consumer electronics, FMCG or lifestyle brand
Tmall and JD management experience is required
Strong understanding of consumer product retail in China
Ability to demonstrate year on year sales growth under their jurisdiction
Proven track record of longevity in role with progression in organization and ability to overachieve sales goals and targets
Previous leadership role on a significant project
Ability to demonstrate and articulate core leadership skills which resulted in a successful outcome
Ability to demonstrate the ability to effect substantial positive change in short timescale
Experience working in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
Strong ability to collaborate well with other departments to accomplish a target
Fluency in English and Chinese
College degree required
Ability to travel
