Junior Accountant

Job Description / Skills Required

The role will be responsible for the day to day support and provision of the finance service across the region. You will support in the following:

Main Duties:
• Preparation and posting of payroll, VAT, monthly accruals & prepayments
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review & recording of intercompany & cash positions
• Preparation of VAT return & liaison with Groupon VAT team
• Monthly US GAAP to Stat reconciliations
• Support in implementing new PO & AP process
• Liaison and support to statutory auditors
• Support and liaison with internal audit to perform sox self-assessment
• Statutory accounts preparation

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support finance team/business with other ad-hoc projects
• Any other duty that may be required for the effective performance within the role

Person Specification:

• Keen eye for accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Proactive and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent excel skills
• Strong organization skills

• Knowledge of NetSuite software preferred
• Knowledge of French GAAP & US GAAP preferred ​
