We’re currently looking for our next Marketing super star, Head of Marketing Australia & New Zealand – a key member of our Global Marketing team based in Sydney. This role is an integral part in how Groupon grow and scale and is responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns that will activate and engage our customer base.

You’ll lead our Marketing team, a team of marketers with some serious creative chops and analytical prowess. Our innovative and fun marketing team is responsible for driving traffic & new customers to Groupon, as well as building engaging campaigns to excite our customers, merchandise our great range of deals and make Groupon a household name.

The Head of Marketing ANZ will have the mix between strategy and execution to make a real impact on metrics. You’ll be comfortable with managing multiple campaigns and projects with sometimes moving deadlines and can organise the creative chaos while still grinning ear to ear.

You’ll be responsible for driving awareness of our products, services and campaigns and be instrumental to how we scale the business in ANZ in the years to come. You will develop and craft marketing strategy aligned to our global strategy, and tailor to our local requirements with a strong focus customer growth and retention.

A bit about the role:

End-to-end development, execution and management of a holistic strategy around digital marketing and branding to optimize efficiency of our customer acquisition and retention efforts
Own and manage all traffic and customers numbers and campaigns across multiple channels including but not limited to: TV, Search, Radio, Display, and Social
Directly managing leading and working with several cross-channel marketing teams including SEM, display and affiliates
Customer Acquisition tactics through SEM, Affiliates, Retargeting and a robust Search SEO strategy
Build strong partnerships with internal teams (Senior Sales Leaders, Senior Leadership teams, International Groupon Leads, Finance) to ensure a superior user experience;
Review site metrics and customer feedback and recommend strategies to maximize online effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Develop email, social media, PR, and online campaigns to turn visitors into customers and customers into repeat Groupies
Establish and own Groupon’s marketing calendar to reach new customers and re-engage with our existing customer base
A bit about you:

Solid Agency or In-house experience on execution of customer acquisition tactics, search engine marketing and search engine optimization (Prior experience in a major e-commerce or start-up environment highly desirable)
Experience in running multimillion dollar SEM campaigns across Search Engine Optimization, Affiliation and Retargeting
Strong strategic thinking capability; demonstrated ability to anticipate future trends and strategic opportunities
Lead by example and excellent leadership skills with the confidence to lead, manage and engage team members (both direct and indirect reports)
Able to drive specific results with minimal direction and clear, swift decision-making capabilities
Ability to synthesize data and analytics from a wide variety of sources into concise, actionable insights and business recommendations
Ability to collaborate and influence decision making across all levels
Strong ability to develop and implement plans while continuously monitoring results and implementing continuous improvement
In tune and finger on the pulse with emerging technology trends
Deep understanding the Australia/NZ audience and digital landscape
