GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Sr. Marketing Director, APAC position based in Shanghai. This position will oversee the regional marketing team responsible for strategic planning, coordinating and managing APAC programs and initiatives for GoPro as well as evaluating and reporting on ROI. The Sr. Marketing Director, APAC will interface closely with the Marketing leadership team at HQ to develop high-level, cohesive strategic plans that align GoPro products, technology, and platforms with our priority markets in APAC.

What You Will Do

Lead and develop a team of 12+ people in region and directly manage the Marketing managers in each key APAC country (5+).
Adapt and implement global marketing strategy into APAC region and translate into market-relevant initiatives with maximum ROI.
Strategically guide regional marketing functions and agencies and ensure implementation in all marketing tactics in close collaboration with HQ functional leads. Key functions are:
Lifestyle Marketing including Sports Marketing, Entertainment, Advocates and Influencer initiatives
Advertising & CRM including all Digital, Paid social and Offline initiatives
Media & Creative including development and delivery of regionally relevant marketing content and advertising assets
Globalization including all APAC relevant localization activities
Training including all internal and external educational efforts
Communications including all PR and (earned) Social initiatives
Brand Strategy including brand awareness and perception building initiatives
Build and steer country level Go-To-Market strategies for key markets in APAC collaborating with global marketing departments as well as regional Marketing, Channel Marketing and Sales team.
Collaborate with the Analytics team and regularly report APAC relevant market insights to HQ for future development of global strategy.
Lead the annual business planning process for the APAC region including strategic adjustment, business function collaboration, budget planning and prioritization.
Work closely with the channel marketing team on all major retail marketing programs.
Lead and manage the marketing collaboration with APAC’s distributors.
Work hand-in-hand with the APAC sales director to accomplish KPIs for the region.
Partner with HQ to implement global business processes and operational best practices in region.

Skills We're Stoked About

BS required, MBA is a plus
12+ years of experience in globally recognized brands in the Lifestyle, (Action) Sports or CE industry
Extensive work experience in the APAC region, specifically China, Japan and Korea
Fluent in English is a must, Mandarin/Japanese is a big plus
