NER Assistant Management Accountant

Job Summary:
The role will be responsible for the day to day support and provision of the finance service across the region. You will support the regional financial controller in the following:

Main Duties:
• Cash reconciliation
• Preparation and posting of payroll, VAT, monthly accruals & prepayments
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculation of intercompany recharges
• Month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Accounts payable reconciliation & payments
• Assist with audits and internal audit requests
• Assist in statutory accounts preparation

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support finance team/business with other ad-hoc projects
• Any other duty that may be required for the effective performance within the role

Person Specification:

• Keen to develop within Accounting profession and has an ambition to take on accounting qualification
• Keen eye for accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task
• Ability to cope under pressure and able to adapt quickly to change
• Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
• Proactive, self-starter, problem solving with a positive attitude;
• Team player able to communicate well with other staff with varying degrees of accounting knowledge

• Experience within a finance team and office environment
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting processes
• Experience of financial data analysis would be an advantage
• Finance/Accounting degree ​
