Job Description / Skills Required
The Product Marketing Principal works within the Product Management team and across the CloudPassage organization to drive execution of the company’s SaaS solutions. This includes crafting and iteratively improving outbound messaging and positioning, product-related content, sales enablement content, competitive positioning, etc. In concert with the marketing team, you will participate in defining and developing marketing campaigns to drive demand, build pipeline and shorten sales cycles. You will be a key stakeholder in the launch of new products and updates to existing products. You’ll be key to defining product marketing campaigns and measuring their success ongoing, including making adjustments as indicated my marketing automation metrics and field feedback.
Responsibilities & Activities:
Gather market intelligence, understand the complete buyer’s lifecycle
Create and refine product messaging and product positioning
Drive development of customer use case stories through direct customer interaction
Document customer success stories involving the use of CloudPassage services
Define and manage end-to-end product launches with cross-functional teams
Maintain understanding of relevant technical concepts and be able to translate them to statements of business value, including proof points
Collaboratively ideate and iterate content for sales presentations, white papers, datasheets, solution briefs, blog posts, videos, contributed articles and social media content
Help drive thought leadership and influence market perception of our company and products with audiences including analysts, media, bloggers, and other influencer/thought leaders
Support creation of sales enablement programs for both internal and partner selling teams
Experience & Skills:
At least 5-8 years of experience in product marketing for information security related software or SaaS companies, preferably focused on large enterprises (Fortune 1000)
A breadth of security product and services experience spanning network security, application security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, security operations, etc.
Fluent in concepts related to DevOps, DevSecOps, agile/extreme development, and continuous integration / continuous delivery
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams to move forward goals
Exceptional written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Strong project management skills
Enjoy creating content and repurposing content to meet multiple objectives
Strong understanding of solution selling, emerging markets, and customer journey in various stages of the technology adoption lifecycle
Must be naturally curious and passionate about information security and/or technology
Must be a team player that works collaboratively across functions including sales, marketing, product and engineering
