Strategy & Planning Analyst – Travel

The Sales Strategy & Planning team is responsible for the strategic direction and tactical direction to create an optimal pipeline with a focus on revenue optimization, sales force effectiveness and product integration. The focus for the team is improving performance throughout the value chain from front-line sales to merchant partners to the end customer.

We’re currently on the look-out for a Strategy Planning Analyst to support our Travel sales teams with value-add analytics, driving strategic sales initiatives, and optimising merchandising. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you’ll partner with various internal departments to define the strategic vision for your assigned vertical and implement that strategy through deal pipeline management.

You’re bright with a brilliant and curious mind with a deep understanding and ability to take concepts from ideas to implementation. Your high energy and collaborative style and ability to manage and influence different stakeholders at all levels will be critical to your success.

Day to day responsibilities

Support the effective roll-out of strategic and technological updates relating to the sales, strategy and planning functions
Strategic analysis into specific verticals to provide insights to the Travel sales team
Work closely with Travel sales teams to optimise deal structures and inventory management
Facilitation of knowledge sharing across the Sales Strategy & Planning team and the broader business
Generate reporting to track progress of sales, strategy and planning teams on key business initiatives
Review & approval of deals to feature on the website
Planning and scheduling deal features using Salesforce
The ideal candidate

1-3 years prior experience in a similar strategy sales or planning analyst role preferably in the travel industry
Data and detail oriented and strong organisational skills
Comfortable interpreting data, generating insights and making fact-based decisions
Meticulous attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering results while juggling multiple projects
Positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs
Experience using Salesforce highly regarded
Familiar with SQL highly desirable
