Job Description / Skills Required

As HR Leader(m/f) you hold responsible for the entire strategic and operative HR management and support the company’s further growth and development together with the changes and development of the organization. The role will focus on Italy ny but this region will also potentially include other locations in EMEA and/or pan-European functions. Working within a matrix structure, you will report into the International HR Director and closely partner the senior leadership team as they enter a significant period of change and transformation.

Overall, HR and the business is going through massive growth and change, as a result, the business is looking for an HR Director who has been through similar change and transformational periods with previous, similar businesses. Managing a small team of Business Partners your role will be to drive the transformation agenda, own the strategy and work with the centre of excellence to deliver the required results. Ideally you will have industry experience in E-Commerce or IT and have worked both for smaller businesses as well as large complex corporates.

Groupon strives to be compliant with all legal requirements in Italy and to manage the union relationships in a constructive way. Therefore the business is looking for someone with proven experience in this area.

Responsabilities

Leading organisational development and the HR team overall

Collaborating with the International HR Team, T&D, C&B, Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders (US and in International) to help drive forward organisational design, talent management and performance management

Developing effective and collaborative ways of working with the unions in line with our Groupon culture and ways of working

Ensuring that business and talent strategy are aligned across the whole business

Looking at capability and talent needs to establish global priorities

Responsibility for identifying critical talent gaps and planning the succession of employees within the business

Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of people management practices, programs and services for the business

Creating and maintaining partnership with Business Leaders on a strategic level

Ensuring that the culture and processes are in line with the nature of the organisation

Working with senior management to map and roll out key strategic projects

Contributing to remodelling plans both within HR and the broader business

Requirements

10 years of recognised HR experience within the software, hardware or ecommerce sector

Considerable experience in dealing with unions

High level of business/commercial thinking is critical

Proven ability to translate commercial priorities into people priorities

Proven ability to present complex HR issues in a clear manner

Strong knowledge of Italian labour law

Ability to thrive in a global, fast-paced multifaceted environment with an understanding of complex matrix organisations

Self-starter with strong leadership qualities

Team player, with strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict management skills

Resistance and patience to deal with large organisational structure

Fluent in English and Italian

Very strong people and communication skills and a good negotiator

Very strong analytical skills with an outstanding sense for business opportunities

Ability to drive both strategic decisions and operational tasks

Performance driven mind-set with a strong motivation to lead professionally

Ability to work and communicate in a fast paced international environment

Previous experience in building and leading successful teams is a plus

Master’s degree, preferably with focus on Psychology, Business with Human Resources or similar
