The campus recruiting team specifically focuses on growing Groupon’s intern and entry-level sourcing by building strong relationships with current college students, internal hiring teams, and external business partners.
We’re looking for a campus recruiter supporting our tech recruiting function to live the Groupon brand and help people see why we’re so passionate about local commerce across college campuses! You will be responsible for full cycle recruiting – creatively planning and executing core campus events to attract competitive tech talent, managing our pipeline from application to offer stage and onboarding, as well as supporting our internship program. Ultimately, you will contribute to our overall business success by finding and engaging with some of the best tech talent in the world. Sounds like fun, right?
Source, screen, interview, offer, and onboard a high volume of students in an agile, fast-paced work environment
Drive diversity recruiting initiatives when planning campus events and sourcing strategies
Partner thoughtfully with fellow recruiters and hiring managers to ensure candidates match team needs
Champion a high touch candidate and hiring manager experience
Articulate our mission and core values in ways that resonate with each prospect, presenting an objective view of life at Groupon
Creatively promote Groupon’s brand on campus
Maintain detailed documentation to help us analyze progress and results and make data-driven and strategic recruiting decisions
Assist in planning and running the summer internship program for 40+ tech interns across several US office locations
Develop and foster relationships with key contacts at target schools including academic faculty, career services, development offices, and student organizations
Plan, coordinate and attend: career fairs, on campus info sessions, tech talks, on campus interviews, in office tours and events, hackathons, tech conferences, etc.
BS/BA degree preferred
3+ years university recruiting experience or technical recruiting experience with strong interest in the university recruitment space
Ability to travel during peak campus recruitment seasons (approximately 30-40% of time)
A history of handling high volume while maintaining a meticulous level of organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
Experience with recruiting for multiple teams and hiring managers concurrently, with a defined and resourceful approach of how you engage, assess, and close well-matched talent as well as recruiting for culture & team dynamic
Strong project and program management skill set with the ability to see through work from conception to execution
Analytical mindset focused on driving value for business in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to speak comfortably to basic tech stack architecture, frontend, and backend engineering profiles as well as testing, data science, product management and project management roles
Effective strategic thinking, problem solving, cross group collaboration and oral/written communication skills
Comfortable asking questions and ability to learn quickly with a passion for continuous improvement
