Job Description

Vera is looking for an experienced service-oriented and results-driven UI Lead to join our Engineering team. As a UI Lead, you'll play a key role in all of our UI efforts. You will work within the context of truly agile team, and coordinate closely with UX Design team to ensure a consistent look and feel of our offerings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Expert-level knowledge of raw JavaScript (ES5 / ES6), CSS3, and HTML5
Recent advanced expertise working with React, familiarity with other frameworks, such as Angular or Node.js
Keen eye for usability and user experience, understanding how to work with UI/UX designers
Experience building cross-platform web applications that perform well in modern, mobile, and legacy browsers (responsive UI)
Experience in developing browser extensions or plugins to enable additional functionality on the browser and to integrate with native OS/platforms
Experience in developing web based applications on popular cloud platforms like Google Apps Platform, Salesforce Developers Platform, Box/Dropbox etc.
Experience using, integrating, and optimizing front end build tools (Grunt / Gulp / Webpack)
Understanding how to use various types of REST APIs
Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols (basic/OAuth/SAML)
Awareness of web application security concerns and knowing how prevent and fix exploits (XSS/clickjacking)
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, such as Mocha or Jasmine
Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks, such as Selenium, Nightwatch or Protractor
